This is this gorgeous covered bowl made by Rosenthal China, Germany. It is the legendary Zaubergarten - Magic Garden décor designed by one of the most significant German ceramic artists, Walter Mutze (1893 - 1963). He was Rosenthal employee from 1913 – 1961. He is best known for his special procedure 'Granuliertechnik' (so called patent Mutze of 1951). Beautiful Rosenthal patterns Zaubergarten is made in this technique. This bowl has double white and gold rim. It is marked on the backside with standard ‘Rosenthal Germany Kunst Abteilung Selb’ mark in green. This mark identifies original production of c. 1953. Other marking is ‘Zaubergarten’, ‘Handgemalt’ (hand painted) and artist initials printed in gold as well as form number incised on the backside. It measures approx 5" tall to top of knob x 6 1/2" x 4", the colors are bright and vibrant, very small amount of wear to the Gold knob on top, and it is in great vintage condition. .Buyer Pays S/H.
